Terms of service.
These terms govern access to Deniable, including accounts, fixed synthetic dataset packs, prepaid API credits, downloads, and related documentation.
1. Provider and scope
Deniable is provided by Krippl David, c/o flexdienst – #20185, Kurt-Schumacher-Straße 76, 67663 Kaiserslautern, Germany. Contact: "support@deniable.net".
By creating an account, placing an order, purchasing credits, or using the API, you agree to these terms. If you use Deniable for a company or other organisation, you confirm that you have authority to bind it.
2. Eligibility and account security
Deniable is a professional developer service and is not intended for persons under 18. You must provide accurate account information, keep your credentials confidential, and notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access. One person or organisation must not create accounts to evade a suspension, credit limit, or other control.
You are responsible for activity carried out through your account and API keys unless you have promptly reported a security incident. API keys must remain server-side and must never be placed in browser bundles, public repositories, prompts, URLs, or client-side applications.
3. What Deniable provides
Deniable offers pre-generated synthetic documents and document collections for internal development, quality assurance, evaluation, research, and commercial internal use. The catalogue, formats, languages, counts, metadata, and availability are those shown on the relevant product page at the time of purchase.
The documents are synthetic test material. They are not customer records, legal advice, financial advice, medical advice, production data, or a guarantee that a system will behave correctly in every real-world situation. Synthetic test data does not replace validation with appropriate production-like data under your own lawful controls.
4. Dataset packs
Dataset packs are fixed one-time purchases. After successful payment and account checks, the purchased delivery is made available through the method described on the product page, such as an authenticated download. You must maintain enough storage and security on your side to use the files safely.
Product examples, document counts, formats, and descriptions are intended to describe the release accurately. Minor formatting or editorial corrections do not create a right to a different product where the purchased release remains materially usable for its stated purpose.
5. Prepaid API credits
API credits are prepaid usage balance, not a subscription. The minimum top-up is €5, and the amount can be selected within the available checkout limits. There is no automatic renewal. Standard cases consume 1 credit; long-form documents and ebooks consume 10 credits unless a product page states a different cost.
Credits are consumed when an authorised delivery is completed or reserved according to the API documentation. Repeating a request with a new idempotency key may create a new delivery and consume credits again. Requests stop when the balance is insufficient. Credits cannot be transferred to another account. A refund is made only where required by applicable law or otherwise expressly agreed.
API limits, available endpoints, catalogue scope, document availability, and credit costs may change for security, capacity, or product reasons. The current API reference forms part of the technical description.
6. Payments, taxes and refunds
Payments are processed by Stripe. Prices are shown in euros unless the checkout says otherwise. Applicable taxes are handled as displayed at checkout and on the invoice. A successful checkout does not grant access to another account or permit sharing of the purchased credentials.
Consumers generally have a 14-day statutory withdrawal right. For digital content, that right ends when performance begins if you expressly consent to immediate performance before the withdrawal period ends and acknowledge that you lose the withdrawal right once performance begins, to the extent permitted by applicable law. Mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected. If a delivery is materially defective, contact "support@deniable.net" promptly with the order details so we can investigate and, where required, provide a remedy. Fraudulent payments, chargebacks, or payment reversals may result in suspension while the matter is investigated.
7. Licence for purchased material
Subject to payment and these terms, Deniable grants the purchasing account a non-exclusive, worldwide licence to use the supplied synthetic documents internally for development, QA, evaluation, research, model training, and fine-tuning, including commercial internal use.
You may copy, transform, annotate, index, embed, and process the material inside your own private systems and internal workflows. You may show limited excerpts to employees, contractors, or advisers who are bound by confidentiality and need the material for the same internal purpose.
You may not resell, sublicense, publish, redistribute, expose through a public download, use the catalogue as a competing dataset service, or host the raw collection for unrestricted third-party access. You may not represent synthetic documents as real records or use them to identify real people. This licence does not transfer Deniable’s trademarks, website content, source code, or documentation.
8. API and acceptable use
You may use the API only with a valid key, sufficient balance, and within the documented rate limits. You must not probe, bypass, or disable authentication, metering, rate limits, delivery history, storage controls, or other safeguards.
- No unlawful, fraudulent, abusive, harmful, or infringing use.
- No credential sharing, key farming, scraping, automated catalogue copying, or attempts to reconstruct unavailable files.
- No public endpoint that forwards or exposes Deniable content without access control and a permitted internal use.
- No use that overloads the service or interferes with another customer’s access.
We may throttle, revoke a key, pause an account, or refuse a delivery when necessary to protect the service, investigate abuse, comply with law, or prevent unauthorised access. A security-related suspension may be reviewed through support.
9. Your content and prohibited data
If you send information through support or an integration, you retain responsibility for having the rights and lawful basis to send it. Do not send passwords, payment-card data, production customer records, health data, children’s data, or other sensitive personal data unless a specific written arrangement permits it. We may remove or restrict content that creates a security, privacy, or legal risk.
10. Intellectual property
Deniable and its licensors retain all rights in the service, catalogue design, documentation, branding, software, and original selection and arrangement of releases. These terms grant only the licences expressly stated here. Voluntary feedback, ideas, or suggestions you send us may be used without compensation or restriction to improve the service. This does not include confidential information from your datasets or support requests.
11. Availability and changes
We aim to keep Deniable reliable but do not promise uninterrupted availability, a particular response time, or permanent availability of every dataset. Maintenance, provider outages, security incidents, legal requirements, and capacity limits may temporarily affect the service.
We may add, remove, or change features, catalogue releases, prices, limits, and documentation. Changes do not retroactively reduce rights in a delivery already paid for, except where necessary to comply with law or address a security or rights issue.
12. Suspension and termination
You may stop using the service or request account deletion through support. We may suspend or terminate access for material breach, non-payment, abuse, security risk, legal obligation, or an attempt to evade controls. Clauses concerning payment records, licence restrictions, intellectual property, confidentiality, liability, and dispute handling survive termination where their purpose requires it.
13. Liability
We are liable without limitation for intent, gross negligence, injury to life, body or health, and liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. For ordinary negligence, liability is limited to foreseeable damage arising from a material contractual obligation, subject to mandatory consumer protections. Nothing in these terms excludes rights that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
Deniable is not responsible for decisions made from synthetic test results, failures caused by your integration or credentials, or use outside the documented purpose. You remain responsible for validating whether a release is suitable for your system.
14. Governing law and disputes
German law applies, excluding conflict-of-law rules, to the extent this does not remove mandatory protections applicable to consumers in their country of residence. Consumers may use the courts and dispute mechanisms available to them under mandatory law. We are not obliged and do not agree to participate in consumer dispute-resolution proceedings. The European Online Dispute Resolution platform was discontinued by the European Union on 20 July 2025. For business customers, the competent courts at the provider’s registered place of business may have jurisdiction where legally permitted.
15. Contact and changes to these terms
Questions, complaints, security reports, and requests concerning these terms can be sent to "support@deniable.net". We may update these terms when the service or legal requirements change. The current version and effective date are published on this page.
